Temple Square2009

I love going to Temple Square when the lights are up!! I didn't want to miss them this past Christmas, so we went up for a visit the day after Christmas. I don't think I'll ever go the day after Christmas again, we were surprised to see how packed it was.I think Chase enjoyed it just as much as I did. Minus the below freezing temperatures.
Micah stayed entertained the whole time we were there, looking around at all the lights. Although we had to make our visit short due to how cold it was, we still had a great time!!I think out of the three of us, Micah was the warmest!

First Christmas2009

I'm sure everyone would agree that Christmas is the best holiday of the year! This was one of the best I've had in a long time, because I got to share it with Micah! I've decided that is so much funner to give than to receive!! This year I wasn't really worried about what I was getting, but what I was giving-mainly to Micah. Although he wouldn't be able to remember his first Christmas, I wanted it to be fun and exciting for him.
Micah got PLENTY of toys, including: a walker, stuffed lion, toy trains, a shape sorter,
Bath toys, a matching game,
Plastic beads, stacking rings, bead maze, a toy phone, and a stuffed bear.
The only things Austynn asked for, for Christmas was a baby doll, a stroller and a crib! And she got all of those, plus more!
Cassidy got an MP3 player, and a ton of Webkinz-she can never have enough.
Austynn, Cassidy, and Savanna got a chalk board and other art things.
Savanna got an MP3 player too!

Micah's favorite toy is definitely the walker!!! Surprisingly he's pretty good at walking with it. I think it has helped him to stand on his own. Before he got it he couldn't stand alone without holding on to something. His second favorite toy is the matching game his Grandma got him!

We hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas
and a Happy New Year!!!

Fall Time!!

Chase and I love taking Micah to the park when ever we get the chance! We mostly take him on the swings, and some times on the small slides. Micah loves all of it!! You can tell by the look he has on his face, and when he shrieks with excitement! (The small slide!)
Every so often Chase becomes a little too excited and takes Micah down the BIG slides himself!! Sometimes I think he finds more enjoyment out of it than Micah! I'm so glad Chase has so much enthusiasm about playing with Micah, because I know it's one reason why that makes him a good Dad.
(This BIG slide!)It seems like fall just began just a short while ago, and now it is slipping away as the weather gets colder and wetter. These are probably one of the last times we will be able to take Micah to the park this year. I imagine the next time Micah goes to the park again will be next year, during the spring time. Micah will enjoy himself a lot more because, I suspect, he will be walking! He is well on his way to mastering this great milestone. He already started pulling himself up on furniture, and sometimes I catch him trying to stand on his own.
He looks so proud of himself!MICAH MAN!

Kissy Kissy

Just recently Micah learned how to give "kisses!"
Take a look...

video

At night when we're all in bed Micah will climb all over me and Chase and give us "kisses." At times he will even blow on our cheeks, silly boy! We have so much fun having Micah in our lives!

Crawling Already!

Just a few days after Micah turned seven months old, he finally figured out how to move those legs and crawl!! But even before that he figured out how to pull himself up on the crib, he's so tricky!!
We'll start from the beginning. First came the sitting up at around five months. Then came the butt scooting a month later.
Then he started pulling himself up on things. Micah is just full of surprises! We are amazed at what he can do!
THEN came the crawling! He started by moving around in a small area, then the whole entire room, and then OUT of the room... He's just busy, busy, busy! This is a picture of him the day after he started crawling.
video
This is a few days after he first learned to crawl The only thing I could interest him in at the time was the camera! Micah would gladly play with any type of electronic that Chase and I have including our cell phones, remotes, the camera, and camcorder-over his toys.

Hope you enjoyed!!
